First snow fall of the year!

If you were wondering or just thought that it doesnt snow here, IT DOES! Though there is snow on the ground it is not very cold. It seems that the altitude plays a role in this. Water seems to freeze at higher temps here and the snow stays! We will see what the afternoon brings when the sun comes out!

Lunch with the 'terps

This was a good educational day for some of the 1982nd. We sat down for lunch with our interpreters and shared stories about our families and cultures. It was interesting to hear that some of the typical american thoughts afghanis was false. These 2 interpreters help us in the FST and translate for us with the locals and ANA soldiers.
